DC...finally!

So, it's official! I am typing this post from my bedroom at the Barlow Center in DC. It has been a long day of traveling and I am exhausted! Not to mention my dad and I had to get up at 4:00 am to get to the airport. All is well, however. All my bags made it, my bedding (which we shipped last week and were scared it wasn't going to make it) is here, and I am all unpacked and settled in. The most important thing is..it isn't cold! haha they said it has been the past few days, today was uncommonly warm but it was beautiful! Maybe it will last ;).  I went grocery shopping with a few girls who arrived about the same time I did at Trader Joe's, which is just down the street. I wasn't thrilled, haha mostly because it is an organic store and the cereal selection is extremely limited. Luckily, they had store brand frosted flakes, so that will tide me over until I can go somewhere good tomorrow. Elder and Sister Brown are our "grandparents" here at the Barlow Center, they will be taking care of us as part of the mission they were called to serve here. They are a really sweet couple, and they will be a lot of fun! As for my plans tomorrow, I am mostly just going to explore. I might go see some things, maybe try to find a better grocery store. This is when the blog will get exciting :). Even though it hasn't even been 24 hours, I am loving it here!
